How much Panadol Can I give my baby?
The usual dose of paracetamol for children is 10-15 mg per kilogram of weight. In other words, if a child weighs 20 kg it should have 10-15mg x 20, which is 200-300 mg. This dose can be taken once every 4 to 6 hours, up to 4 times in 24 hours if needed.
Is paracetamol syrup safe for babies?
Giving paracetamol to babies from 2 months
If your baby is in pain or has a high temperature (including after having vaccinations), you can give them 1 dose of paracetamol syrup (or 1 suppository). The usual dose is 2.5ml of infant syrup (or a 60mg suppository).
What age can babies have Panadol?
Panadol® and Dymadon® are examples of paracetamol. You can use ibuprofen instead of paracetamol for pain and fever relief. It’s suitable for children over three months, but you should avoid using it if your child has severe asthma.
Is Panadol syrup good for babies?

Is it OK to give baby Panadol every night?
Give every 4-6 hours but do NOT give more often than 4 times a day. Do NOT wake a child to give them paracetamol.
Can I mix Children’s Panadol with milk?
Add the dose of liquid medicine to a glass of milk or fruit juice (preferably at room temperature). Make sure your child drinks all the mixture straight away. Then add some more juice or milk to the glass, swirl it round and ask your child to drink the liquid. This makes sure they get all the medicine.

Can we feed baby after giving paracetamol?
Paracetamol is gentler on your baby’s stomach than ibuprofen, and doesn’t cause tummy problems. So you don’t need to give it to your baby with food.

For infants 2-3 months no more than 2 doses should be given. Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24 hour period. Leave at least 4 hours between doses.

Can you mix baby Panadol with water?

How long does children’s Panadol take to work?
How long will it take for liquid paracetamol to work for my child? It varies between individuals but paracetamol seems to have the maximum effect between 1 ½ and 3 hours after you give the dose. Pain levels and temperature may start to come down before this.
